About Event

On International Mangrove Conservation Day, we came together for a mission that truly mattered—protecting one of our planet’s most vital ecosystems.

With the incredible support of the Mangrove Foundation, State Forest Department – Mangrove Cell, RyAksha Foundation, and the tireless energy of over 800 NSS volunteers, the mangrove shores became a hub of determination and teamwork.

Armed with gloves, sacks, and unwavering commitment, we combed through the mangrove areas, collecting and removing a staggering 7,500+ kg of plastic waste that threatened the health of this ecosystem. Each bag lifted was more than just trash removed, it was a step towards restoring balance to nature’s delicate web.

Mangroves are more than just trees; they are protectors of our coastlines, guardians of biodiversity, and lifelines for countless species. By keeping them clean, we not only protect the environment but also ensure a safer, healthier future for the generations to come.

This drive was a shining example of what can be achieved when organizations, communities, and individuals join hands for a shared cause. The sight of 800 passionate volunteers working shoulder-to-shoulder was proof that change begins when we act together.

Let’s keep this momentum alive and continue showing up for our planet—because every action, no matter how small, adds up to a bigger, greener difference. 💚♻️
